Description
Nundawao is located above the southeast end of Canandaigua Lake in an area rich with historic importance for the people of the Seneca Nation. Your help is needed to refresh a 1.6 mile hiking trail that winds through an oak-hickory forest on a beautiful slope above the lake. Work will consist of brush control, side-hilling, and path stabilization. Refreshments will be provided, but please bring a lunch. Work gloves and tools will be provided. Work will begin the previous day, June 24.
Directions
Parking is limited, so we’ll meet at the NYSDEC Clark Gully parking area at the intersection of Sunnyside Road and West Avenue, located just off State Route 245, approximately 3 miles east of the Village of Naples.
