Why are you a member?

I am a proud member of the Land Trust because the landscapes of the Finger Lakes have shaped the memories of my youth and have helped build my conservation ethic. These working and natural landscapes shape and support all of us. Supporting the work of the Land Trust through active membership protects these landscapes for my daughters and all in our community.

What’s your favorite FLLT activity and/or preserve, and why?

I love the range of great resources the Land Trust provides in their well-maintained preserves. Depending on the day, our family (and puppy!) love a ramble on the Roy H. Park Preserve boardwalk, a run through the Sweedler Preserve at Lick Brook, or a leisurely stroll along the latest Story Walk at the Ellis Hollow Preserve.

Anything else you want to add?

As a volunteer nature preserve steward and member of the Land Trust, my understanding of the region’s diverse landscapes and the people who support them has grown immensely. I am forever greatly for that sharpened understanding.
