Wade Sarkis of Canandaigua has been appointed to the Finger Lakes Land Trust’s Board of Directors for a first three-year term. Mr. Sarkis is the owner and managing principal of Canandaigua Financial Group and lives in Canandaigua with his wife, Joscelyne.
Wade is a former president of Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association and is still active on their board. He is also vice-chair and treasurer of the F.F. Thompson Foundation, Inc. in Canandaigua. Wade and Joscelyne have been members of the Land Trust since 2013.
“Protecting water quality in the Finger Lakes is crucial for the economic and environmental health of our region,” Wade said. “Conservation of land with natural capital values is a primary step in the process.”
“We are delighted that Wade has joined the Land Trust’s Board of Directors,” said Land Trust Executive Director Andrew Zepp. “He brings a lot to the organization and his experience in financial management and watershed protection will be particularly helpful.”
