DESCRIPTION
Help is needed to clear limbs, branches, and trees from along the edge of the meadow in an effort to maximize nesting bird habitat. Land Trust staff will use a chainsaw to cut up large trees and branches. Tools and work gloves will be provided.
Please note the following:
- The site is gently sloping and the ground is uneven in places. A short hike is required to access the site.
- Sturdy hiking shoes or boots and long pants are required. We will be hauling brush through tall grasses and other plants.
DIRECTIONS
From Rte 352/Denison Parkway in downtown Corning, turn south onto Chemung Street. Take Chemung Street to Spencer Hill Road and drive about 2 miles to the preserve entrance on your right. From Corning Community College, take Marland Road and continue on Spencer Hill Road toward downtown Corning. Drive about 1/4 mile to the preserve entrance on your left.
