DESCRIPTION

Laura Kammermeier of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and co-leader Kyle Gage will lead a walk to discover the variety of birds that migrate through the Finger Lakes region in spring. We will listen for and observe these visitors to the 90-acre Canandaigua Vista Preserve—home to a variety of habitats including mature forests and open meadows. Bring binoculars if you have them. Beginning birders welcome.

DIRECTIONS

From Canandaigua, take Bristol Street to State Route 21 South for approx. 6 miles. Turn right onto Jones Road and drive one half-mile to find the parking area on the left.

POLICIES

Except in the case of extreme weather, walks go rain or shine. Please check this web page for updates.

Please refrain from bringing dogs as they may impede the observation of wildlife.
