Come by car or by boat to explore a cove beach protecting 390 feet of pristine Canandaigua Lake shoreline.
Natural History
Wander down the grassy trail to a wooden stairway leading to the shore from the south shoulder of East Lake Road, or pull up a canoe or kayak from the lake. Watch for shorebirds, skip stones, or take in the sunset on a warm summer evening.

Recent History
The Land Trust acquired this property in 2013 as part of its ongoing efforts to protect undeveloped shoreline in the Finger Lakes. The preserve was originally part of a larger land acquisition and the Land Trust worked with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to add 66 acres across East Lake Road to the adjacent Bare Hill Unique Area—adding protection to a scenic landmark that rises more than 800 feet above Canandaigua Lake.
