Description
Hosted by the Finger Lakes Land Trust, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Onondaga County (CCE), the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Zachary Odell, Director of Land Protection for the Finger Lakes Land Trust, will provide a brief overview of the organization and available conservation tools for landowners; Dan Sawchuck, NYS DEC Private Lands Forester, will discuss New York State Forest Tax Law, 480 – A; Melanie Palmer of CCCE Onondaga County will provide information on the Purchase of Development Rights program; and Liz Fish from the NRCS will discuss the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP).
