DESCRIPTION
Earlier this summer, Jamie and Maisie Houghton donated 195 acres of land on Spencer Hill to our organization. We are grateful to the Houghtons for their incredible generosity to us and the Corning community. The new Houghton Land Preserve will permanently protect a beautiful property between Spencer Hill Road and the city of Corning. We hope it will become a valued place for outdoor activities for Corning area residents and visitors alike. We look forward to opening the preserve to public visitation once we complete a management plan and install visitor parking.
Our meeting on September 21st will be a forum where you can learn about the new preserve and our organization. It will allow us to learn about you, our neighbors, and the larger community the preserve will serve. There will be ample time for questions and answers so we hope you will be able to join us!
