None required — free and open to the public. The walks are free but donations are heartily welcomed. We will be keeping a tally of bird species found. Please let us know if you would like to make a pledge per species and we will let you know the total count once the numbers are in. Contact us at info@fllt.org or by calling (607) 275-9487. General donations are welcome too. Gifts can be made online – please click the box that says “This gift is in honor or memory of someone” and type in: Spring Bird Quest.
Description
This preserve features a young hardwood forest which gives way to a long-fallow field with young trees and sweeping views of the surrounding hills. Bring binoculars if you have them. Beginning birders welcome! This event will be held rain or shine. For a full morning of spring birding, join us earlier at 8:00 AM at the nearby Bock-Harvey Preserve. Directions
From Ithaca, take Route 13 South to Route 327. Turn right on to Route 327 (Enfield Falls Road) and go 4 1/2 miles to Trumbull Corners Road. Turn left and go approximately 1/2 mile to preserve parking area on the right side of the road. From the Bock-Harvey Preserve, head west on Rockwell Rd., turn right on Porter Hill Rd., after 1/2 mile turn left onto Trumbulls Corners Rd. – the preserve entrance will be on the right.
