Description
Join Land Trust staff, interns and volunteers for the opening of the Phenology Trail at the Roy H. Park Preserve. We’ll provide a brief introduction to phenology – the study of seasonal changes in plants and animals – and explore the trail’s various observation stations where you can record your findings. Learn how to conduct citizen science and submit data to the National Phenology Network database!
Directions
From Ithaca, take Rt. 13 North towards Dryden. Go approx. 12 miles and turn right on Irish Settlement Rd. Continue on Irish Settlement approx. 4 miles to find the NORTH parking area–where the boardwalk is–on the left (approx. 0.5 mile after Hammond Hill Rd). Continue approx one more mile down Irish Settlement Rd to find the SOUTH parking area just after Goodband Rd. If you get to Midline Rd, you’ve gone too far. Get more preserve information.
