DESCRIPTION
Join us for Story Walk on Thursday, August 24 at our Ellis Hollow Nature Preserve. Valerie Akers, founder of Corner of the Sky preschool, will guide families on a mellow walk through the woods, stopping along the path to read Seeds of Change by Jen Cullerton Johnson. Bonus: families who attend the kickoff walk will receive a free copy of the book to bring home (while supplies last).
Story Walk encourages childhood literacy and an early love of nature. For the walk, the book’s pages are individually laminated, grouped into small sections, and placed along the trail. The story will be installed at the Ellis Hollow Nature Preserve through the summer and fall…so stop by to take a self-guided reading adventure anytime you want!
DIRECTIONS
From Ithaca, follow Ellis Hollow Road 2.5 miles past East Hill Shopping Plaza. Turn left on Genung Road, then right on Ellis Hollow Creek Road. Preserve entrance is located 0.2 miles past intersection, on left side of road.
