Why are you a member?
I sincerely believe in the beauty of the Finger Lakes. Our family has lived at Glenora Point on Seneca Lake since 1907 when my grandfather traded a grand piano for a persons cottage. Having been involved in Seneca Lake Pure Waters since its beginning I’ve learned that it is our responsibility to protect and pay attention to what is happening to our environment and land.
The FLLT is responsible and is preserving the land that our water flows over and through to reach the lakes that provide our drinking water and recreation, and make this one of the world’s most beautiful locations. We need to provide our personal resources whenever we can to keep up this vigil. The FLLT is one of the best organizations I know to preserve this legacy.
How long have you been a member of FLLT?
Member since 2012.
Anything else you would like to add?
Owning a winery and vineyards on Seneca Lake (Atwater Estate Vineyards) makes me very aware of our environment and forces us to care for the land to enable us to make good wine, but more importantly to ensure the viability so future generations can make good wine.
