Why are you a member?

Because I think the work that FLLT does to conserve land and engage landowners and community members in conservation is critical to protect biodiversity, adapt to climate change, and to create the kind of world I want for my children.

What’s your favorite FLLT activity and/or preserve, and why?

The Sweedler and Thayer Preserves. When my family and I first visited Ithaca, we read an interview with Andy Zepp in the Ithaca Times. In the interview he mentioned Lick Brook gorge, so we hiked the Thayer Preserve on one of our visits. To this day, Lick Brook gorge is one of my favorite spots and it was a perfect introduction to the landscape of this region. After that hike and that visit to Ithaca, we knew we would love it here.
