Buzz Roberts of Skaneateles, Onondaga County, NY.
Why are you a member?
I grew up in Penn Yan on Keuka Lake and now have a home on Skaneateles Lake. I have been active in the Skaneateles Lake Association for many years. When our friend, Jim Kersting from Canadice Lake, became a board member of the Land Trust several years ago, he encouraged my wife and me to become members. We recognize the need for awareness and preservation of environmentally sensitive land around our Finger Lakes Region.
How long have you been a member of FLLT?
Member since 1997.
What’s your favorite FLLT activity and/or preserve, and why?
Aside from the “cocktail parties”… we enjoy hiking and skiing in the preserves. Our favorite spots are Carpenter’s Falls and the Old Jug Trail to Skaneateles Lake.
Anything else you want to add?
We have seen the progress of the FLLT under Andy Zepp’s leadership and value the importance of this organization in promoting awareness of this land and preserving natural areas for the enjoyment of future generations.
