Watch the latest video and learn about the Finger Lakes Land Trust’s largest conservation project in its 35-year history! With nearly 1,000 acres, Bad Bear Hill contains miles of recreational trails just a short drive from downtown Corning, NY. Bad Bear Hill also has nearly a mile of shoreline on the Canisteo River, now protected to safeguard water quality and habitat. The FLLT will open the property to the public for daytime use after developing an interim management plan for the site, which the organization intends to transfer to New York State as an addition to McCarthy Hill State Forest.
