596 Acres of Canandaigua Farmland Conserved Forever
The Land Trust has permanently protected 596 acres of prime farmland at Catalpa Farm in Canandaigua with a conservation easement. The farm is located along the east side of Route 332, just north of the city where many property owners face increasing development pressure. See the Story.
New York State’s Largest Wildlife Management Area Expands Through Land Trust Partnership
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Land Trust recently completed the acquisition of an 86-acre addition to Connecticut Hill Wildlife Management Area in the town of Catharine, Schuyler County. Connecticut Hill encompasses more than 11,500 acres of undeveloped land southwest of Ithaca and is the largest wildlife management area in the state. Learn more.
